This metro station will resume operation from tomorrow, March 8. It was closed for more than two years to transport passengers. The station has not operated since February 24, 2022. This was reported on March 7 by the Kyiv City State Administration.
The operating hours of this station are from 5.41 to 22.36. The Dnepr station is ground-based, so it will not work during an air raid. This decision was made for security reasons.
Let us remind you that on December 8, 2023, train traffic from the Demeevskaya to Teremkov metro station on the blue line was stopped due to depressurization of the tunnel. The Kiev Metro reported that train traffic from Demeevskaya to Teremki was suspended while the transport tunnel was being repaired. Trains will run on the blue line only between the stations “Geroev Dnepra” and “Lybidskaya” (it will be the final one).
Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko predicted that traffic on the damaged section between the Demeevskaya and Lybidskaya stations would be resumed by the end of summer 2024.
