In Russian Tuva, a powerful explosion occurred in the city of Shagonar at a local thermal power plant. One person died and 22 others were injured, local authorities reported on Wednesday, March 6.
It is known that after the explosion, a strong fire broke out. The open fire has been extinguished. 170 rescuers and 40 pieces of equipment are working in the area.
According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred in a heat supply compartment located separately from the boiler room; clarifying its causes.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated due to negligence. A prosecutor’s investigation is underway.
