The attack on a hostile target occurred at noon on February 29 near the village of Golovchino in the Grayvoronsky district. Four drones hit the air defense system at once. The Russian air defense combat unit was damaged and two servicemen were injured. The Russian telegram channel ASTRA reported this on March 1.
On February 29, the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country also announced an attempt to attack a UAV in the Belgorod region, but then only one drone was reported. Traditionally, the enemy claimed all “targets shot down.”
As you know, the Pantsir-S1 air defense system is designed for air defense of small military and administrative-industrial facilities and areas from airplanes, helicopters, cruise missiles and precision weapons, as well as to strengthen air defense groups.
Let us recall that on February 24, in Lipetsk, drones attacked Russia’s largest Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, and the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the downing of two drones over the Lipetsk region.
