Pharmacists who will take part in vaccinating Ukrainian citizens must undergo special training.
Ukrainians can now be vaccinated against this or that disease in pharmacies. This was stated in a government order on Thursday, February 29.
It is indicated that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has authorized preventive vaccination of Ukrainians in pharmacies, but only those who receive a license to do so will be vaccinated.
“Pharmacies will be able to perform preventive vaccinations if they have a license for such medical practice,” the document said.
Pharmacists will also need to undergo special immunization training. In particular, pharmacy workers must have skills in providing pre-hospital emergency care.
The corresponding government decree on amending licensing conditions for medical practice, adopted on February 27, will take effect three months from the date of publication.
Ukraine received from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) 350 thousand doses of vaccine against diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus for vaccination in 2024.
We remind you that Ukraine received 203 thousand doses of the vaccine against the COVID-19 strain Omicron.
