On February 28, the so-called local deputies of the fake PMR addressed the Council of the Federation and the State Duma of the Russian Federation with a request to “implement measures to protect Transnistria in the face of increasing pressure from Moldova.” This is stated in the resolution of the Congress of Deputies of the unrecognized state, which was disseminated by Russian propaganda media and Telegram channels.
The “deputies” also appealed to the OSCE, the CIS, the European Parliament, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the UN Secretary General. They called on these organizations to “influence the leadership of Moldova to return to an adequate dialogue and stop violating the rights and freedoms of the residents of Transnistria.”
At the same time, Moldovan journalists note that the authenticity of the document has not yet been verified.
Let us remind you that on February 22, the publication Moldova Liberă reported that the unrecognized Transnistria could appeal to Russia on February 28 with a request to include it into Russia. The leader of the PMR, Vadim Krasnoselsky, convened a congress of deputies of all levels in Tiraspol, allegedly due to economic pressure from Moldova, and such events were held very rarely.
