Some Ukrainian drivers try to avoid queues at the Polish border through Slovakia and Hungary.
A 35-year-old Ukrainian truck driver, standing in line to cross the border into Slovakia, died. This was announced by the Vice-President of the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine Vladimir Balin on Tuesday, February 28, on the “We-Ukraine” channel.
He said that carriers lined up on the Polish side were trying to bypass the blockade through Slovakia and Hungary.
“We received unofficial information today that one of the drivers, 35 years old, standing in the line in Slovakia today has died. It is difficult to say whether it is directly related to the lines; there are no strikers nearby. He stood 100 km from the border, how long will he go? It was unknown to go. The investigation will show what the cause of death was,” explained Balin.
According to him, the deceased driver had a family.
We remind you that the previous day, at the Krakovets-Korcheva checkpoint, a Ukrainian driver who was in a queue, which was formed due to blocking the movement of trucks of Polish carriers, died.
In Chelm, Poland, a Ukrainian truck driver was found dead in a parking lot as he waited to cross the border at Doroguska.
