Scandals about the actions of TCC representatives are reasonable 50/50, noted the representative of the Ombudsman, Alexander Kononeko.
The office of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights responds to all incoming complaints about illegal actions by employees of Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers. However, a significant portion of them turn out to be fake. This was said by the representative of the Ombudsman Alexander Kononeko on air Espresso on Tuesday, February 27th.
We are responding to these facts, it is more concerned with the behavior of TCC. We have received an appeal to the authorized representative and are trying to respond. I cannot say the exact number, but we see that there are such cases, we are definitely responding to them and looking into them. But we must also say that not all these facts have been confirmed,” he said.
Kononeko noted that some of the videos published online are provocative, do not always correspond to reality and sometimes have nothing to do with either TCC employees or people subject to mobilization.
“I would say 50/50. There are different cases, and in one case or other people know about it,” said the representative of the ombudsman.
As is known, during the mobilization in Ukraine, cases systematically occurred when men were “twisted” on the streets and forcibly taken to the TCC. So, in Transcarpathia, TCC workers sent a paralyzed man to serve.
President Vladimir Zelensky considers the “forceful” methods of TCC workers unacceptable.
