In the Maryinsky direction, the defense forces continued to hold back the Russians. The enemy tried to break the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 40 times.

During the day, defense aircraft carried out strikes on seven areas where Russian personnel were concentrated and two anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russians. Rocket troops units hit three enemy artillery positions. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on February 26.

It is known that in the past 24 hours, 95 military clashes have taken place. In total, the enemy carried out 11 missile and 98 air strikes, carried out 129 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and populated areas. There were civilian casualties and injuries as a result of the Russian terrorist attack. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civil infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

Air strikes were conducted in: Yamnoye, Novaya Sich, Sumy region; Vesyoloye, Konstantinovka, Kurdyumovka, Mayorsk, Severnoye, Zheleznoye, New York, Ocheretino, Zhezhelatelnoye, Berdichi, Lastochkino, Yasnobrodovka, Netailovo, Umanskoye, Vodyanoe, Paraskoveyevka, Ocheretino, Vladimirhayovkalovkatino, Novomikhailovka, Malinovka, Orekhov, Malaya Tokmachka, Rabotino, region of Zaporozhye.

More than 110 settlements in Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson and Nikolaev regions are under artillery.

According to the General Staff, in the directions of Volyn and Polesie the operational situation remains without significant changes.

At the direction of Seversky and Slobozhansky, the Russian Federation maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the movement of our troops in threatening directions, and increases the density of mine and explosive barrier on the state border in the Belgorod region.

At the direction of Kupyansky, 6 Russian attacks were repulsed in the area of ​​Sinkovka and Tabaevka settlements, Kharkov region.

In the direction of Liman, 5 enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of settlements of Terny, Donetsk region and Belogorovka, Lugansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 8 Russian attacks in the areas of Ivanovskoe and Kleshchievka settlements, Donetsk region.

In the direction of Avdeevsky, our defenders repelled 25 attacks of the invaders in the areas of Severnoe, Stepnoe, Berdichie, Lastochkino and Nevelskoe settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Maryinsky direction, the defense forces continue to hold the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Novomikhailovka, Georgievka, Pobeda and Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of 40 times.

In the direction of Novopavlovsk the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

In the direction of Zaporozhye, the defense forces repelled 6 Russian attacks in the Rabotino settlement area and 1 in the Gulyaipolskoye settlement area, Zaporozhye region.

In the direction of Kherson, the Defense Forces continue to hold positions and repulse the attacks of the occupying forces. Despite heavy losses, the enemy does not abandon attempts to dislodge our units from their positions.

In the past 24 hours, the enemy made four unsuccessful attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the left bank of the Dnieper.

We remind you that Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine at night with the help of missiles and drone attacks. Air defense forces shot down nine suicide bombers and three missiles.

As reported, the President of Ukraine for the first time publicly named the figure for the losses of Ukrainian personnel in the war. According to him, 31 thousand Ukrainian soldiers died during the entire Russian invasion.
