During the war, 31 thousand Ukrainian military personnel died. However, the number of civilian deaths since the start of the full-scale invasion is still unknown. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on February 25 at a press conference at the “Ukraine. The year is 2024.”
The head of state refused to name the number of wounded Ukrainian soldiers.
I won’t say how many wounded we have, because Russia will know how many of our people left the battlefield. “We don’t know how many of our civilians were killed,” he said.
Zelensky added that the losses of the Russian Federation in the war with Ukraine amount to 180 thousand military personnel killed, together with the wounded, the losses amount to about 500 thousand people.
Let us recall that on February 25, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the defenders of Ukraine during the full-scale Russian invasion eliminated about 409 thousand 820 Russians.
