Ukraine is consulting with American and European air safety regulators to confirm plans to open Ukrainian airspace.
Ukraine is submitting applications to European and American safety regulators to confirm the plan to open the airspace, said the Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov in the form “Ukraine. Year 2024”.
Kubrakov noted that Ukraine is consulting with American and European airspace safety regulators to confirm the plan for opening Ukrainian airspace
“It is a complex process, but Ukraine is already taking its first formal steps; in these weeks we are submitting official risk assessment statements to the relevant regulators,” the minister said.
At the same time, the opening dates were not announced, which refers to the very high complexity of the security issue.
“It is important for us that the American and European regulators confirm our algorithm of actions,” Kubrakov added.
Let’s recall that in August 2023, an Airbus A320-200 aircraft of the Turkish airline BBN Airlines flew into the closed airspace of Ukraine with Norwegian tourists. He was on his way to Antalya from Oslo.
