Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signed a Security Cooperation Agreement. The president announced this on Saturday, February 24, on social networks.
“Today we signed another security agreement that strengthens the position of our people, and especially our fighters. This is a powerful and timely decision that is an important contribution to strengthening our stability. We signed the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau on a Security Cooperation Agreement between Ukraine and Canada. The document provides for Canada’s allocation of more than 3 billion Canadian dollars of macro-financial and defense assistance to Ukraine by 2024,” the statement said.
Zelensky thanked Canada for supporting Ukraine from the first days of a full-scale war.
Let’s recall that four Western leaders came to Kyiv to express solidarity with Ukraine on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Russian invasion.
