The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine believes that in the near future Ukraine will give an asymmetric response to the Russian occupier in the air.
Ukraine will soon be able to respond to Russian aggressors in the air. There will be more enemy aircraft to shoot down. This statement was made by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, in Telegram on the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
“I believe that in the near future we will give an asymmetric response to the Russian occupier in the air. There will be more burning Russian planes. The state leadership is doing everything possible for this,” he wrote.
The Commander-in-Chief recalled that two years later Ukraine achieved great success, liberating the north and the Kharkov region, part of the Kherson region, Snake Island, and also clearing the Black Sea of the Russian fleet. At the same time, the Ukrainian counter-offensive last summer, unfortunately, due to objective circumstances, did not bring the desired result.
Syrsky thanked defenders of Ukraine, doctors, rescuers, volunteers, as well as partners for helping our state.
“Every shell, every tank, every armored vehicle is, first of all, preserving the life of a Ukrainian soldier. We are fighting for every meter of our land, however, the most important thing we have is the life of a soldier Ukrainian,” He added.
As you know, today, February 24, is the second anniversary of the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to occupy our entire state in a short period of time. But the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people prevented these plans.
With the help of Western countries, the Ukrainians were able to liberate a significant part of the territory occupied in the first months. Now the heavy positional battle continues at the front.
Earlier, presidential press secretary Sergei Nikiforov said that on February 24, many visits of leaders from other countries are expected in Ukraine. A meeting is also planned with the participation of Ukraine and the Group of Seven.
A conference of the country’s military-political leadership is being prepared for February 25. The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will hold his press conference.
