Four Western leaders arrived in Kyiv on Saturday to express solidarity with Ukraine on the second anniversary of the Russian invasion. This was reported by Reuters on Saturday, February 24.

In particular, the prime ministers of Italy Georgia Maloney, Canada Justin Trudeau, and Belgium Alexander de Croo arrived in the Ukrainian capital tonight from neighboring Poland.

They arrived with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

Later in the day, a video conference is scheduled to be held from Kyiv, which will be attended by the leaders of the G7 countries. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will be invited to join the discussion.

As you know, today, February 24, is the second anniversary of the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to occupy our entire state in a short period of time. But the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people prevented these plans.

With the help of Western countries, the Ukrainians were able to liberate a significant part of the territory occupied in the first months. Now the heavy positional battle continues at the front.

Earlier, presidential press secretary Sergei Nikiforov said that many visits of leaders from other countries are expected in Ukraine on February 24. A meeting is also planned with the participation of Ukraine and the Group of Seven.

A conference of the country’s military-political leadership is being prepared for February 25. The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will hold his press conference.

We remind you that on February 23, the Prime Minister of Denmark Matte Frederiksen arrived in Ukraine. He and Zelensky signed a security agreement between our countries.
