The Commander-in-Chief discussed the current situation at the front and the urgent needs of the Ukrainian military in a telephone conversation with NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, together with the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov, on Friday, February 23, discussed the strengthening of air defense with the Supreme Commander of the NATO Allied Armed Forces in Europe, Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli. Syrsky wrote about it on Telegram.
“Together with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, I had a meaningful conversation with the Supreme Allied Commander of the NATO Armed Forces in Europe, Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli,” he wrote.
Syrsky said that he informed his colleague about the situation at the front and the priority needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They also discussed aspects of strengthening Ukraine’s air defense units.
“I thank General Cavoli and all partners from NATO member countries for their help and active cooperation in liberating the land of Ukraine from the Russian invaders,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
