The Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for the use of UAH 515 million allocated for the construction and operation of the cemetery this year.
The Cabinet of Ministers made an important decision on the creation of the National War Memorial Cemetery. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal on Friday, February 23.
It is reported that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for the use of UAH 515 million allocated for the construction and operation of the cemetery this year.
“The National War Memorial Cemetery will be a central place where everyone can pay tribute to the fallen heroes of our Motherland. It will be a special place where sadness, pride, pain, respect, boundless gratitude and eternal memory meet. For the Department of Veterans Affairs, this is one of the main tasks for this year,” said the message.
We remind you that on May 2, the Rada already made a decision on the creation of the National War Memorial Cemetery. It is planned to be located in the Dnieper district of Kyiv, in Bykovna. But President Vladimir Zelensky never signed the corresponding law.
