The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces published operational information about the Russian invasion on Friday morning, February 23.
“In the past 24 hours, 101 military clashes took place. In total, the enemy carried out 3 missile and 83 air strikes, carried out 152 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of The Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are wounded and dead among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civilian infrastructure, was destroyed and damaged. At night, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with missiles and Shahed-type UAVs. Ukraine’s air defense forces and means destroyed 23 attack UAVs,” the report said.
The settlements of Rozdolovka, Veseloye, Berdichie, Semyonovka, Orlovka, Lastochkino, Tonenkoye, Konstantinovka, Alexandropol, Krasnogorovka, Kurakhovo, Paraskoveevka, Novomikhailovka, Ugledar and Staromayorskoe in the Donetsk region received air strikes.
More than 125 settlements in Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson and Nikolaev regions came under artillery fire.
In the direction of Kupyansk, the enemy made 5 attack attempts on the settlement area of Sinkovka, Kharkov region.
In the Liman direction, the enemy attacked our units 14 times in the areas of Terny and Yampolevka settlements, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas of Andreevka, Bogdanovka, Ivanovskoye, Klishchievka and Toretsk settlements in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdeevsky direction, our defenders repelled 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Orlovka, Severnoye, Pervomaiskoye, Nevelskoye settlements in the Donetsk region.

“In the direction of Kherson, the Defense Forces continue to hold positions and repulse the attacks of the occupying forces. Despite the heavy defeat, the enemy does not abandon attempts to expel our units from their positions. In the past 24 hours, the enemy has made 5 attempts to attack the positions of our troops on the left bank of the Dnieper,” – reported the General Staff.
The defenders of Ukraine inflict losses on the occupying forces in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
“Over the past 24 hours, defense aviation has carried out strikes on 6 areas of concentration of enemy personnel and 3 anti-aircraft missile systems. Units of the missile forces have caused defeat in 4 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 1 logistics hub, 2 air defense systems and 1 ground enemy UAV control station,” added the General Staff.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled seven Russian attacks near Avdeevka.
