European countries plan to approve sanctions on the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The ambassadors of the countries of the European Union agreed on the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions, which will be approved on February 24. The Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU announced this on social media. X on Wednesday, February 21st.
“EU ambassadors have just reached an agreement in principle on the 13th package of sanctions as part of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. This package is one of the most extensive approved by the European Union. It will be subject to a written procedure and will be officially approved on February 24,” said the message.
