In Russia, two reserve armies and six divisions will be created with contract soldiers in 2023. This is what Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said, RosSMI reports.

According to him, about 540 thousand people signed a contract with the Russian Armed Forces last year.

Shoigu also said that “this year, so far, 50 thousand have been under contract, and people continue to leave.”

He said that almost 1,800 have returned to the front after the fourth wound, about five thousand students who are taking academic leave and signing contracts with the Armed Forces.

It was previously reported that the Russian Federation is looking for mercenaries in Somalia, Sierra Leone, Nepal, Syria and Cuba for the war against Ukraine.
