The man did not admit his guilt. The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison for collaboration activities.
A spotter of the Russian missile strike in Kramatorsk was convicted in the Donetsk region. The traitor received the maximum punishment – 15 years behind bars. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General on Monday, February 19.
Prosecutors proved that in May 2023, the man, from pro-Russian convictions, decided to help a representative of the Armed Forces of Russia in conducting military operations against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In order to collect data necessary for the enemy, the resident of Kramatorsk asked his friend to record information about the movement of equipment and the locations of units of Ukrainian defenders in the city. Currently, the indictment against his friend is pending in court.
The convict sent the coordinates received from a friend to his curator and asked “not to miss” the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After a resident of Kramatorsk was arrested, he was given a preventive measure in the form of detention without the alternative of bail.
At the trial, the man pleaded not guilty. The court convicted him for collaboration activities. The traitor was sentenced to 15 years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state and local government bodies for 15 years and confiscation of property.
Let’s recall that earlier an FSB agent who spied on the aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk region received 15 years in prison for treason.
