A draft script for the first Star Wars film, originally titled The Adventures of Luke Starkiller, has been acquired by an Austrian private collector.
In the UK, a draft Star Wars script was sold at auction for 10.7 thousand pounds sterling (13.1 thousand dollars). The Guardian reported this.
The draft was originally estimated at £8,000-12,000 and was acquired by an Austrian private collector.
The script, dated 15 March 1976, was used by Harrison Ford and then left in the London flat he rented while filming at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire.
This copy is incomplete and unbound, with pages of different colors indicating additional edits. It contains characters and scenes that were not included in the final film. For example, page 56 contains the first scene where Han Solo is introduced to the audience.
Also, as stated in the draft script, the film was then called The Adventures of Luke Starkiller.
Ford left other items with the script, including a filming schedule, a call list and a collection of notes, which were sold as a set to a UK buyer for £4,826.
It was previously reported that the historic 1963 comic book – one of two copies of Amazing Spider-Man #1 – was sold at Heritage Auctions for a record price.
The first edition of Harry Potter is planned to be sold at auction
