The Ukrainians show their skills and abilities when it comes to attacking the enemy, the Secretary General noted.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine is dire and the delay in US aid is making the situation more difficult. He said this on Friday, February 16, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Ukrinform reports.
At the same time, he called not to overestimate the capabilities of the Russian Federation and not to underestimate Ukraine and to continue to support Kyiv.
“Our goal is that we can continue to support Ukraine, because it is in our security interests. The situation is difficult. The fact that the United States did not make an appropriate decision has already had a negative impact on the situation on the battlefield. But I continue to hope that the United States will decide to continue supporting Ukraine,” said the Secretary General of NATO.
Stoltenberg noted that the Ukrainians continue to show courage and endurance in the fight against the enemy, and also pointed to a number of significant victories.
“This week, the Ukrainians once again demonstrated their skills and capabilities when it comes to strikes when they sank another Russian ship in the Black Sea,” NATO’s secretary general said.
As we wrote earlier, explosions were heard near the coast of Crimea and smoke was visible in the sea. According to eyewitnesses, the cause of the explosion was a fire on one of the Russian ships. The media said that as a result of strikes by power steering drones, the large landing ship Tsezar Kunikov sank.
Later, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the defeat of the Russian ship.
