On the night of February 17, some regions of Russia were allegedly attacked by drones. This was reported by the governors of Belgorod, Kaluga, Bryansk and Voronezh regions, as well as the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the air defense allegedly shot down two drones in the area of the village of Vistula Dubrava. According to preliminary data, no one was killed or injured.
The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, reported seven alleged shooters of drones. At night, in the territory of the Lyudinovsky district, 4 UAVs were apparently shot down by air defense systems. The next morning, another UAV was destroyed there. Two UAVs were destroyed in the Kozelsky district. There were no casualties or damage to infrastructure.
As the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, said, five drones were said to have been destroyed in the region.
According to the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, air defense forces allegedly shot down two drones as they approached the city. The roof of a private house on Turkmensky Proezd in Voronezh was damaged by drone debris. No one was killed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the regions of Russia were attacked by 33 Ukrainian drones.
Drones are said to have been intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems in the territories of the following regions: Belgorod – 4 UAVs, Voronezh – 4 UAVs, Kursk – 1 UAV, Bryansk – 18 UAVs and Kaluga – 6 UAVs.
It was earlier reported that the explosions took place in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia.
