The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence on the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska and his top managers in Ukraine involved in financing the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

Deripaska received a message of suspicion in absentia, and the director of the subsoil mining company Glukhovsky Quartzite Quarry and the curator of this institution from the Russian oligarch was detained. The latter received a residence permit in Russia in 2021.
These defendants helped Deripaska appropriate the production capacity of the quarry in 2012, despite the ban on their sale. From then until the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the management of the mining company supplied wholesale quantities of rocks to Russia for steel smelting.
The Russian billionaire’s company sold raw materials obtained from Ukraine to enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the aggressor country for the production of ballistic missiles, in particular Iskanders.
The occupiers also used imported products for the serial production of combat drones and radar systems.
Deripaska received a notification of suspicion in absentia under seven articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The criminal actions of the director of the Ukrainian company are qualified under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. His accomplice, the curator, was informed of suspicion under two articles.
Suspicion in absentia was also reported to one of the managers of RUSAL and a citizen of Cyprus who contributed to the illegal alienation of the enterprise.
In February 2023, the assets of the Glukhov Quartzite Quarry were nationalized in favor of Ukraine.
