Special forces from the Gusi-9 group of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense attacked the Russian Kasta-2E2 radar station. The station was set on fire on February 13 near the Russian-Ukrainian border, the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate reported.
It was noted that as a result of fire damage, the Russian Kasta-2E2 was disabled, and the radar crew suffered losses.
According to intelligence data, before the strike by Ukrainian intelligence officers, the enemy’s radar complex monitored the air in the Kharkov and Sumy regions of Ukraine, as well as in the regions of Belgorod and, possibly, Kursk and Voronezh of Russia Federation.
Kasta-2E2 is a mobile three-coordinate radar of decimeter range of all-round visibility, designed to control airspace, determine coordinates and identify targets in the air.
The station is capable of detecting objects at very low altitudes, determining their path characteristics and sending coordinates and target movement parameters to the air defense control system. Detection range – up to 150 km.
We remind you that in the last 24 hours, the Defense Forces destroyed 950 invaders, nine tanks, 54 artillery systems and 33 UAVs.
Ukraine also destroyed the large Russian landing ship Tsezar Kunikov. The enemy ship was attacked by a Magura V5 maritime attack drone off the coast of temporarily occupied Crimea.
