An employee of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine during World War II, who made inappropriate comments about a family killed in Kharkov as a result of a Russian attack, has written a letter of resignation. This was reported by the press service of the museum.
“Senior researcher Roman Kabachy took a difficult step, necessary in the current conditions. He wrote a letter of resignation of his own free will. The National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War terminated the relationship it’s his job,” the message said.
We remind you that in Kharkov an oil depot was attacked by the Russian invaders. Upon impact, fuel leaked out. It erupted, this fiery mixture engulfing four streets. Seven people died.

After that, Kabachy commented on the publication of the Office of the Prosecutor General on his Facebook page: “This is the moment when the family does not leave because you are a public servant (or on the state salary).” In response to the outrage and calls for sympathy in the comments, she wrote: “Sympathy for who? Five burnt lumps?”
He later deleted the messages and apologized for them.
