Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj published a 13th century map in which most of what is now Russia belonged to the Mongol Empire. At the same time, he said that there was no need to worry – “the Mongols are a peaceful nation.”

Former President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj published a message on the social network X, in which he made fun of Vladimir Putin’s interview with the American propagandist Tucker Carlson.

In particular, he published a 13th-century map in which most of modern Russia belonged to the Mongol Empire. At the same time, he said that there was no need to worry – “the Mongols are a peaceful nation.”

“After Putin’s talk. I found a historical map of Mongolia. Don’t worry, we are a peaceful and free country,” Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj wrote under the published map.

Let’s recall that last week Putin gave a long interview to Carlson, in which, in response to a question from an American blogger about the reasons for the war against Ukraine, he endlessly rambled on pseudo-historical topics , since the 17th century, with a lot of manipulation of facts and plain lies. At one point, the dictator even went so far as to justify Hitler’s attack on Poland (in Russia, as in Ukraine, justifying Nazism is a criminal offense).

In the West, they responded to Putin’s clichés in interviews, calling them manipulation, paranoia and propaganda.
