The SBI seized the property of the businessman’s family and seized the property of ex-boyfriend Roman Grinkevich.

The SBI did not change the classification of crimes committed by members of a criminal organization headed by businessman Igor Grinkevich. The press service of the State Bureau of Investigation reported this on February 12.

It was already mentioned in the criminal proceedings based on a fraudulent scheme of the Lviv businessman Igor Grinkevich and his family, the businessman’s real estate and cars, members of his family – his wife, son and mother-in-law, two of his accomplices and seized the companies they controlled. The issue of seizing the real estate of ex-girlfriend Roman Grinkevich, Sonya Morozyuk, and another accomplice has also been initiated.

Suspicions were reported in mid-January against five individuals of creating and participating in a criminal organization and of taking another person’s property by abuse of trust (fraud), committed under martial law , on a large scale.

Criminal actions are classified as fraud, because they are organized with the aim of taking other people’s property (funds) due to the conclusion of a number of controlled contractors in the Ministry of Defense for the purchase of goods, including military clothing. As a result, products of insufficient quality are provided, which cannot be used for their intended purpose, which, according to the qualifications, is fraud and abuse of trust.

We remind you that at the end of December 2023, the SBI detained one of the largest suppliers of the Ministry of Defense – Lviv businessman Igor Grinkevich. He offered 500 thousand dollars to one of the heads of the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation. For this, the businessman wants “assistance” in the return of property seized from companies under his control during the criminal investigation.

The State Bureau of Investigation has opened several criminal proceedings regarding transactions involving the purchase of clothing and linen for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Business companies won 23 tenders to supply the Ministry of Defense with clothing worth 1.5 billion hryvnias.

The Ministry of Defense terminated the agreements concluded with Grinkevich. The family’s property and the businessman’s controlled companies were confiscated. Among the seized properties are 17 residential real estates, 7 non-residential real estates, 18 land plots, 9 premium cars, shares in the authorized capital amounting to UAH 14.73 million; 12 weapons; 3 items of intellectual property.

It was also reported that Igor Grinkevich’s son, Roman, was detained in Odessa.
