Polish farmers have removed the Shegini checkpoint on the Ukrainian border. The State Border Service of Ukraine reported this on Saturday, February 10.
“According to the information received from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, today at about 11:30 (Kyiv time) the protest ended in front of the Shegini-Medika checkpoint,” the message said.
It is indicated that 220 trucks are waiting to enter Ukraine. Registration and passing of vehicles in both directions is carried out as usual.
Border guards are asking drivers and carriers to consider this information when planning their transportation.
We remind you that on July 9, Polish farmers blocked three main checkpoints on the Ukrainian border. The movement of not only trucks, but also buses and cars is difficult. It is planned that the action will last until March 10.
The farmers went on strike after the European Commission recommended extending the economic visa-free regime in Ukraine for another year.
