The success of the Ukrainian defense forces in this locality is confirmed by geolocation videos from the area. Positional battles continued on the eastern bank of Kherson on February 9. This is stated in a new report from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Military experts also state that Russian occupiers have recently advanced into northern Avdiivka and continued trench warfare with Ukrainian defenders in the area.
At the same time, the enemy achieved minor successes west of Bakhmut, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced to the southwest of the city. New data shows that Ukrainian troops have advanced west of Gorlovka – southwest of Bakhmut. The invaders also advanced further into Novomikhailovka amid ongoing positional battles to the west and southwest of Donetsk.
Let us recall that at the end of January the Operational Command “South” stated that the work of the Defense Forces had yielded results on the left bank of the Dnieper. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are expanding this bridgehead, but the front line here is very flexible. There are many occupier units on the left bank of the Kherson region and they are better fortified than the Ukrainian defenders.
