The aggressor nation Russia has launched another military satellite into orbit. The corresponding statement was issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Friday, February 9.
It is indicated that today the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) launched a Soyuz-2.1v launch vehicle from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region.
“At the estimated time, the spacecraft was launched into the target orbit and accepted for control by the ground-based space forces of the Aerospace Forces. A stable telemetric connection was established and maintained with the spacecraft, its onboard systems were functioning normal,” said the Russian military.
Officials of the Main Center for Space Situation Intelligence of the Space Forces of the Aerospace Forces entered information about it in the Main Catalog of Space Objects.
Recently, the Russians have been regularly launching military satellites. So, only in November 2023, two launches were carried out in the interest of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
