This was stated by member of the Russian Federation Council from the “DPR” Natalya Nikanorova, Russian propaganda media reported.
According to her, the use of ports in the occupied Muscovite region and the creation of a Belarusian transport hub on the Sea of Azov in the “DPR” “can be spoken not only hypothetically.” She said that she meant, first of all, the port of Mariupol.
If we talk about the reunited territories as a whole, then this is also Melitopol,” Nikanorova said.
According to Nikanorova, there is interest in such cooperation; moreover, some work is already underway in this direction.
I think that in the near future we will see concrete manifestations and results of this activity in this direction, in particular, she added.
Last year, TASS propagandists reported that the first enterprise from Belarus began shipping grain for export through the seaport of Mariupol. It transships its agricultural products for export: grain, industrial crops. They have been working with us for about two months and have rented warehouse space.
The name of the Belarusian company and the direction of supplies were not announced, but it was noted that the company is exploring the possibility of redirecting the entire volume of its exports to Mariupol, since this transport corridor turned out to be shorter than other possible ones.
After the closure of convenient Lithuanian ports due to sanctions, the Belarusian side is looking for ways to transport its cargo. They even considered the option of building their own port in Murmansk.
