Almost two years after the disaster, no one knows the names or military ranks of those involved in the downing of the UIA plane, except for the Iranian investigation.
In Tehran, a rally organized by the families of the dead passengers of the Ukrainian plane, which was shot down by Iran with missiles in 2020, was dispersed. The Voice of America reported this on Saturday, February 3.
It was reported that several families of passengers on Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752 gathered in front of the UN office and demanded “justice from the Iranian government.” In particular, the relatives of the victims accused the country’s authorities of obstructing the international investigation into the downing of flight 752, which was shot down on the morning of January 8, 2020 by two Iranian anti-aircraft missiles.
The protesters asked to meet with the Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, Neda Al-Nashif. However, Iranian civilian security agents and security forces immediately began to disperse the crowd through threats and intimidation.
“The behavior of the security forces is insulting and cruel, they are ready for any more cruel reaction,” said the Association of Families of Flight PS752.

It is known that in 2020, a strike on a plane killed all passengers on board, most of them Iranians and Iranian-Canadians flying to Canada via Kyiv. Iran explained that its defense forces mistook the plane for a US missile.
Victims’ relatives believe Iran is targeting criminals who have committed “planned murder, deliberate attacks on civilians or civilian objects, attacks on personal dignity and theft,” as well as crimes against humanity in the form of murder and “other inhuman acts. .”
Let’s recall that Iran offered to pay the Ukrainian families of those killed in the UIA plane crash compensation in the amount of 150 thousand dollars for each dead, but Ukraine rejected this offer.
On April 16, 2023, an Iranian court convicted 10 military personnel in the case of the crash of flight PS752.
