The fight between WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO champion Alexander Usik and WBC title holder Tyson Fury for the title of absolute world super heavyweight champion was supposed to take place on February 17 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadi, but it was postponed due to the Briton’s injury – he was cut over the eye during sparring.
The fight will take place as planned in Saudi Arabia. The organizers of the fight announced the new date.
Boxers will determine the first absolute world heavyweight champion since 1999. Previously, the boxing show was supposed to take place on February 17.
The Briton received a cut near his eyebrow during the preliminary fight. He received stitches, due to which the WBC belt holder will not have time to prepare for the fight in February.
