The attacker tried to discover and transfer to the occupiers the locations of the reserve command posts of the Third Assault Brigade and the headquarters of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. He also transmitted to the enemy the coordinates of key energy and heat generating enterprises that supply most of the capital’s civilian infrastructure with light and heating. The enemy wanted to use this data for air strikes. The SBU press service reported this on January 30.
In addition, a Russian agent tried to get a job at a defense plant in the capital region. If he received the position, the attacker planned to collect secret information about the types and quantities of weapons produced at the defense facility.
An enemy agent was detained while on a reconnaissance mission. The detainee turned out to be a 52-year-old Kiev resident, who was remotely recruited by the FSB in the fall of 2023. The attacker walked around Kyiv and photographed objects needed by the invaders. The defendant was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The traitor faces life imprisonment.
Let us remind you that SBU officers detained a Russian agent who was preparing enemy artillery strikes on the headquarters and key strongholds of Ukrainian Armed Forces units near Avdiivka.
