A resident of the Rivne region came to Transcarpathia to get to Hungary via Tisa. However, he did not consider that the river was dangerous.
In Transcarpathia, border guards found a man in need of help in the Tisa River. The press service of the State Border Guard Service reported this on Saturday, January 27.
“Wet and exhausted, with no strength to get out of the water on his own, the border guards helped him ashore and brought him to the unit, where he was given a chance to warm up and was given hot tea,” the report said.
Talking to the rescued person, it was learned that the man lives in the Rivne region. The 28-year-old “diver” said he went to Transcarpathia to get to Hungary via the Tisza. However, he did not consider that the river is quite dangerous and you can die.
The man independently planned his route in Hungary using a navigation application.
“However, he did not take into account that Tisza was quite dangerous. The fast current overthrew him and took him in an unknown direction. The only thing the young man could do was hold on to the branches on the river bank and call the services of rescue, ” said the border guards.
We remind you that earlier, near the Hungarian border, border guards detained four men using a rubber boat. Transcarpathian border guards also detained 17 men who tried to illegally cross the border with Romania and Hungary.
