This is not the first time that Russian sources have spread false information about France. So, on January 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a strike on a building in Kharkov, where there were allegedly “French mercenaries.”
The French Ministry of Defense emphasized that the country does not use mercenaries and condemned Russia’s disinformation campaign.
“By strengthening French military aid to Ukraine, we expect this Russian maneuver to continue: we condemn it and strengthen our system for monitoring these manipulations,” said French Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu.
The SAMP-T anti-aircraft missile system is designed to intercept various targets, including ballistic and cruise missiles. SAMP-T can destroy aerodynamic targets at a distance of up to 150 km at an altitude of up to 25 km. It is capable of combating ballistic missiles at a distance of up to 25 kilometers.
