The United States will not be able to transfer the necessary weapons to Ukraine, as well as maintain the already transferred systems in working order.

This cannot be done without additional funding from Congress. The lack of funding has forced the Pentagon to suspend the withdrawal of weapons from its stockpile. This was stated by the representative of the United States Department of Defense, Patrick Ryder.

And this, of course, does not allow us to meet Ukraine’s most urgent needs on the battlefield, including artillery rounds, anti-tank weapons, air defense interceptors,” he noted.

A Pentagon spokesman stressed that the department continues to work closely with Congress and calls for additional funding as quickly as possible. Ryden said that the sooner the United States can continue to provide Ukraine with the necessary level of support, the better not only for Ukraine, but also for the international community.

Let us recall that on January 19, the American Congress extended temporary funding for the US administration. The timing of temporary funding for certain areas of the White House’s work was extended until March, but there is still no unity in the annual budget, in particular through military assistance to Ukraine.
