The incumbent US President won the Democratic primary, although he did not campaign in the state and did not put his name on the ballot. This came after New Hampshire broke new party rules by holding its primary ahead of South Carolina. This was reported by the Associated Press.
It is noted that voters manually wrote Biden’s name on the ballot – about 70% of voters out of 63 thousand people did this. His rival Dean Phillips received 20.9% of the vote. Writer Marianne Williamson received 4.3%.
And Trump won 54% of the vote in New Hampshire. His opponent Nikki Gailey, the former governor of South Carolina, received 44.5% of the vote. However, the politician said that she will not stop fighting and will conduct a disruptive campaign in her state. There the primaries are scheduled to take place in February. Trump called Gailey an “impostor.”
Let us recall that in January, US President Donald Trump, seeking re-election to office in 2024, after winning the Republican primaries in Iowa, promised to “very quickly” resolve the situation with the war in Ukraine.
