Fico confirmed his position against Ukraine’s application to join the North Atlantic Alliance.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that the only way to end Russia’s war against Ukraine is to give the Russians part of the Ukrainian territories. POLITICO wrote this on Sunday, January 21.
“There must be some kind of compromise. Do they expect the Russians to leave Crimea, Donbass and Lugansk? This is unrealistic,” Fico said.
Fico also confirmed his position against Ukraine’s application to join NATO. He added that he will tell this to the head of the Ukrainian government, Denis Shmygal, in a personal meeting.
“I will tell him that I am against Ukraine’s membership in NATO and will veto it,” Fico said.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, before a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmygal, scheduled for January 24, said that Ukraine is under the full influence of the United States.
