It is noted that on January 12, rescuers received a message from a representative of the French Embassy in Ukraine that a citizen of this country, from January 3 to 6, planned to climb from the village of Vorokhta, the Zaroslyak tract to Mount Hoverla and travel through the Carpathians in the direction of the city of Rakhiv, Transcarpathia. areas.
The last time the man made contact was on January 3.
- It is noted that today rescuers from the Vorokhtyansky mountain search and rescue department and the Zaroslyak post examined the direction of the Goverlyansky waterfall, in particular: the valley below the waterfall and the foot of Mount Zaroslyak and Mount Breskul;
- the section along the waterfall before its beginning, namely the couloir above the waterfall between Mount Goverla and Mount Breskul.
The man has not been found, the report says. — On January 21, it is planned to continue search work in the direction of the Tsybulnik tract – the Pozhizhevskaya mountain valley.
