The State Border Guard Service added that the detained driver repeatedly came to the attention of operatives of the Mukachevo border detachment because he was involved in illegal activities.
The border guard was taken to the hospital with injuries, and administrative materials were made against the offenders.
It was previously reported that 11 thousand men tried to cross the border illegally in 2023. Specifically, border guards detained about 8,000 men who tried to cross the border outside checkpoints, and 3,000 who gave false documents at checkpoints.
