The hardest thing is for the Ukrainian defenders in the Avdeevsky direction. Units of the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy, who is not giving up attempts to cordon off Avdiivka. Over the past 24 hours, 14 attacks by invaders were repulsed in the Avdeevka area and another 19 attacks south of Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye and Nevelskoye in the Donetsk region. This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for January 20.
In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks in the areas of Sinkovka, Petropavlovka, Tabaevka and Berestovoy, Kharkov region. Another 10 attempted assaults were thwarted by defense forces in the Liman direction – near Ternov, Yampolevka, Verkhnekamensky, Donetsk region, and another 15 attacks in the Serebryansky forestry, Belogorivka, Lugansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian units repelled four enemy attacks near Ivanovsky, Andreevka and Kleshchievka, Donetsk region.
In the Maryinsky direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Georgievka, Maryinka and Novomikhailovka, Donetsk region, where they repelled 12 attacks.
The Russians unsuccessfully launched an attack at Zolotaya Niva in the Shakhtarsky direction, and in the Zaporozhye direction three attacks west of Verbovoy were repulsed.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue measures to expand the bridgehead in the Kherson direction. Despite heavy losses, the enemy does not abandon attempts to dislodge the Defense Forces units from their positions. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy made 10 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of our troops.
Yesterday, Air Force aviation carried out strikes on the area where enemy personnel were concentrated, and missile forces hit four Russian artillery weapons.
Let us remind you that fighters of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade published a video of the assault on the positions of the Russian invaders. After 5 minutes, Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed 10 invaders and returned the positions to the control of the Defense Forces.
