The American leader, during a meeting with top congressmen, called on Congress to quickly provide additional funding to support Ukraine and send a strong signal of US resolve. Biden emphasized that he is encouraged by the progress made in the bipartisan negotiations taking place in the Senate. This is stated on the White House web page.
Biden stressed that it is important for Congress to vote to provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons – air defense and artillery.
The American leader also spoke with lawmakers to “discuss the strategic consequences of inaction for Ukraine, the United States and the world.” According to Biden, inaction by Congress threatens the national security of the United States, NATO and the rest of the free world.
Let us remind you that Bloomberg reported that in Davos the United States will propose to Vladimir Zelensky to change the strategy and go on the defensive.
