On Wednesday, February 17, it was decided to terminate the contract for the supply of food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the Trade Lines Retail company. This contract concerned the supply of food to the military in the Nikolaev and Kherson regions. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The department noted that at the end of last year the company won a competitive bidding in the Prozorro system. It received the right to supply food under one of 30 contracts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The companies have already sent all the documents to terminate this contract due to the “inability to ensure the supply of products.”
At the same time, Prozorro announced another competition for concluding a contract for the supply of food to the army through the direct contract procedure.
The Ministry of Defense stated that they are asking to recognize the department as the injured party in the case against Grinkevich’s companies.
Let us recall that on January 17, the DBI reported suspicions to a Lviv businessman, one of the largest suppliers to the Ministry of Defense, and members of a criminal organization that caused damage to the state budget of Ukraine amounting to almost a billion hryvnia. The suspects were exposed in transactions involving the purchase of clothing and linen for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
