Using mines at sea, Russia threatens to send civilians and human lives, the Armed Forces of Ukraine says.
Ukrainian defenders found a drifting Russian mine on the Black Sea coast in the Odessa region and blew it up. This was reported on Friday, June 17, on the Naval Forces Facebook page of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As indicated, the explosive object was spotted by defense forces while patrolling the coast. The projectile is defused at the location of detection.
The Navy reminded that such cases are not happening for the first time. Earlier, drifting weapons with Russian markings were found and neutralized off the coasts of Turkey and Romania.
“With sea mines, Russia threatens, first of all, civil navigation and human life,” defenders said.
As reported, in early June, on Sandy beach in Mariupol, two people were blown up by a mine and died. One of them was an eight -year -old boy.
