In Ivano-Frankivsk, in one of the apartment buildings, the bodies of a 39-year-old man and a 34-year-old pregnant woman were found behind closed apartment doors. Galka reported this on Tuesday, January 16.
Journalists, citing their own sources, wrote that, perhaps, “the husband stabbed the pregnant woman with a knife, and then himself.”
The husband’s mother reported to the police that the son and son-in-law did not answer the call.
The emergency crew opened the door of the house. The bodies of the dead were found in the apartment. They were found with multiple stab wounds. The communications sector of the GUNP in the Ivano-Frankivsk region reported that investigators and criminologists are working in the area.
Subsequently, the police added that, according to the preliminary version of the investigation, a conflict took place between the spouses, during which the man caused many bodily injuries to the woman. He died on the spot from his injuries. The man went into the next room and committed suicide. The bodies of the couple have been sent for forensic examination.
Earlier, the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a suspect in the planned murder of a 9-year-old girl from the village of Kuty, Kosovo region.
