The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces published operational information about the Russian invasion on Monday evening, January 15.
It was noted that the operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
“Within 24 hours, 86 clashes took place. In general, the enemy launched one missile and 31 air strikes, fired 51 multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of attack by Russian terrorists, unfortunately, there were casualties among the civilian population. Private residential buildings, as well as civilian infrastructure, were destroyed and damaged,” the General Staff said in the report of the night
In the direction of Kupyansk, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks near Sinkovka, Kharkov region, where the enemy tried unsuccessfully to improve their tactical position.
In the direction of Liman, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks near Ternov, Yampolevka, Torskoye, Donetsk region, and another 18 attacks in the areas of Serebryansky forestry, Belogorivka, Luhansk region and Grigorievka, Verkhnekamensky, Donetsk region. Here the Russians tried to break through the defenses of our troops.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks in the Ivanovsky, Kleshchievka and Andreevka areas of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdeevsky direction, our defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks in the Novobakhmutovka, Stepnoy, Avdeevka areas and another 15 attacks in the Pivnichny, Pervomaisky and Nevelskoye areas of the Donetsk region. Here the enemy, with aviation support, unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical situation.
In the Maryinsky direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Pobeda and Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk region. In this direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried 11 times to break the defenses of our troops.
In the Shakhtarsky direction the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.
In the direction of Zaporozhye, our defenders repelled two attacks west of Verbovoy and Rabotino, Zaporozhye region, where the enemy tried unsuccessfully to restore the lost position.
The enemy does not give up his intention to drive our units from the bridges on the left bank of the Dnieper: during the day the enemy made an unsuccessful attack on the positions of our troops.
During the day, Defense Forces aviation carried out strikes on 22 areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated and on an enemy anti-aircraft missile system. The units of the missile forces caused defeat in the area where the personnel were concentrated, three artillery weapons and two radar stations of the enemy.
We remind you that on the day of January 14, about a thousand Russian fighters were eliminated. The total losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the war exceeded 370 thousand dead.
