A thermal power plant in the Donetsk region came under enemy fire. Fortunately, no one was hurt. And in Nikopol, Dnepropetrovsk region, a low-pressure gas distribution pipeline was damaged, resulting in numerous equipment damages. There are disconnected consumers. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported this on January 15.
The department noted that as of now, there is no shortage of electricity in Ukraine – the needs of consumers are covered by its own generation. It is also planned to import electricity.
The thermal power plant unit was put out for emergency short-term repairs. Equipment at one of the front-line thermal power plants was also switched off for a short period of time, but this did not lead to disruptions in heat supply.
The situation is under control. Shutdown schedules are not applied, the Ministry of Energy noted.
Let us remind you that on December 14, the Russians shelled and damaged one of the thermal power plants, and due to shelling and bad weather, two thermal power plants in the southern and western regions stopped producing.
