This was said on the air of a national telethon by the representative of the State Tax Service Andriy Demchenko, the Ukrinform agency reports.
About 1.1 thousand more trucks are waiting in front of the unlocked Medika-Shegini checkpoint. Demchenko noted that traffic at this checkpoint is intense, border crossing rates are the same as before the blocking.
On January 13, Romanian farmers blocked the Porubnoye-Siret checkpoint on the border with Romania. Demchenko noted that the blockade there lasted about six hours.
The total number of vehicles passed per day in this direction has not changed quantitatively. The movement continues. We hope that such actions will not be resumed, he noted.
In addition, in recent days there has been an increase in queues at the border with Slovakia and Hungary. In particular:
- in the direction of the Uzhgorod checkpoint on the border with Slovakia towards Ukraine there is a queue of 450 trucks;
- There are 650 trucks on the territory of Hungary towards Ukraine.
