The parliamentarian stated that she “does not need the quota of the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence” under the conditions allegedly imposed on her. She wrote about this on her Facebook page.
I wrote a letter of resignation from the Servant of the People faction and party, the message says.
Bezuglaya also stated that during the war she did not need a “weak faction and party.” She emphasized that she will continue to support the initiatives of President Zelensky, but does not want to have common obligations with the people’s deputies of the faction, “stabbing a knife in the back.”
Bezugla will remain in the Verkhovna Rada as a majority MP.
Maryana Bezugla has repeatedly found herself in scandals, mainly because of her statements. She was accused of discrediting the Ukrainian military, in particular, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
Let us remind you that on January 10, the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada was closed after several attempts to put to a vote a resolution on the resignation of Maryana Bezugla from the post of deputy chairman of the defense committee.
